SSherry Bradshaw has made the turn to her Back 9 of life but not before she accomplished her Front 9. Sherry graduated from Clemson University with a degree in Administrative Management, after graduation, Sherry was crowned Miss South Carolina and went on to be first runner-up in the Miss America Pageant. Upon relinquishing the crown, she married a Carolina Gamecock, Bill Bradshaw, together they took on the hardest, but the most rewarding job of raising their three children- Brewer, Thomas, and Collins Bradshaw. And yes, all three happened to play the game of golf. They played from early in their lives, all the way through their college careers — two at Clemson University and one at the University of Georgia.
In the Front 9 of life, Sherry was also a Clemson Cheerleader when they won their first National Championship and just last year she followed her team with her 2 son’s as they won a 2nd national championship. She has planned two weddings and has a third coming soon. Her family has grown from three adult children to six by adding in a son-in-love and two daughters-in-love.
In making the turn to the Back 9 she wrote and published two books of challenge and encouragement for others. The Front 9, Making Your Shots Count and The Back 9, Finishing Strong. Both books take her real-life experiences and help her to share life lessons and motivation to others. She is currently working on a third book. Behind the scenes, she is running a household and caring for her father who is a widower. Sherry enjoys investing in her young adult children and their friends. In recent years her two sons have had near-death experiences. She writes honestly about what she went through during that time and gives God the glory for all that has come out of those seasons.
Sherry’s passion is encouraging others to be all that God created them to be so they can lead a life of significance.
Along with writing books, being a wife, daughter, and mother, Sherry enjoys writing blogs and inspirational posts on social media. Sherry’s passion is to encourage others to lead a life of significance. God has led her to fulfill this passion through writing and speaking at various men’s and women’s events and by leading women’s conferences.
She has thoroughly enjoyed all phases of life…with its joys and challenges; this keeps her where she likes to live- being comfortable with being uncomfortable. Living this way is how you truly grow and see God’s hand in all areas of her life. One of her all-time favorite quotes is by C.S. Lewis… “When we put first things first, second things are not suppressed rather they increase.”
