Sherry Thrift Bradshaw – Miss SC

Sherry Thrift Bradshaw

Sherry Thrift Bradshaw grew up in a small South Carolina town with only one traffic light. But that didn’t stop her from dreaming big. Blessed with wonderful parents who introduced her to Jesus and encouraged her to follow her dreams, Sherry set her sights on pursuing excellence where ever God led her.

Sherry earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Administrative Management from Clemson University where she was a cheerleader all four years, a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority, was named SAE Little Sister and Sweetheart, and Homecoming Queen her Junior year.

In 1985, Sherry was crowned Miss South Carolina and that fall, was 1st Runner Up in the Miss America Pageant. Sherry quickly became a sought after speaker and logged hundreds of engagements as Miss South Carolina. She also appeared nationally on The 700 Club and was invited to speak to churches, schools, businesses and community groups. Sherry has appeared in TV and Radio commercials, co-hosted the Kid’s Sizzle TV Program, and been named a World Champion Clogger, not once but four times. Clogging, a folk dance from the Appalachian Mountains, was Sherry’s talent in the Miss South Carolina and Miss America Pageants.

In the summer of 1986, Sherry married her college sweetheart, Bill Bradshaw. God has blessed them with three amazing children – Brewer Bradshaw, Thomas Bradshaw, and Collins Bradshaw.

Sherry was able to stay home with her children when they were growing up and homeschooled her two sons during their Middle School years. Their family has always enjoyed playing golf and each of Sherry’s children has succeeded in playing Division 1 College Golf.

Sherry’s passion is encouraging others to be all that God created them to be so they can lead a life of significance.
