Champions in Life

God doesn’t make mistakes and He doesn’t create junk. It is my belief from reading and studying God’s Word that He has a created purpose for our lives. He will give us the ability to accomplish that purpose when we are surrendered to His hand in our lives. We all have a desire, if we are honest, to accomplish and thrive. Maybe we have had a hard start, difficult circumstances, or maybe never had anyone to encourage us to believe that we can be “CHAMPIONS IN LIFE!”

I am writing to tell you that you can be a CHAMPION in life…in the context of a surrendered life to your Creator, Christ! Scroll back and read the “STRENGTH ZONE” blogs to understand what I mean by the strength zone of life. When we surrender our lives to Christ, we become members of God’s team. I love the quote I have heard recently, “I am a member of a team and I rely on the team. I defer to it and sacrifice for it, because the team, not the individual, is the ULTIMATE CHAMPION!”

When we give God control of our lives (it is our choice), we are allowing Him access to accomplish His desired created purpose for us as a member of His team.

With God we can be a C-H-A-M-P-I-O-N:

C- complete……we become complete with the power of the Holy Spirit indwelling in us.

Colossians 2:2-3, “That their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, to reach all the riches of full assurance of understanding and the knowledge of God’s mystery, which is Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.”

H- heart……. our heart’s desire is bent towards the things of God.

Colossians 3:1, “If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.”

A- anchor……Christ becomes our anchor in the ups, downs, challenges, adversities and wins in our life.

Hebrews 6:18-20, “So that by two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us. We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain, where Jesus has gone as a forerunner on our behalf, having become a high priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.”

M- map……we have a map to follow–His Word, His life example and His guidance.

Psalm 119:104-105, “Through your precepts I get understanding; therefore I hate every false way. Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”

P- positive……..we can be positive knowing that God has us and will never leave or forsake us.

I Kings 8:56-58, “Blessed be the Lord who has given rest to his people Israel, according to all that he promised. Not one word has failed of all his good promise, which he spoke by Moses his servant. The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our fathers. May he not leave us or forsake us, that he may incline our hearts to him, to walk in all his ways and to keep his commandments, his statutes, and his rules, which he commanded our fathers.”

I- integrity……we possess the ability to have the integrity that anyone needs to be a champion.

Deuteronomy 29:29, “The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things that are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.”

O- opportunities…..God will provide championship opportunities for His purposes.

Psalm 40:5, “You have multiplied, O Lord my God, your wondrous deeds and your thoughts toward us; none can compare with you! I will proclaim and tell of them, yet they are more than can be told.”

N- nurture……. God can network our lives to the people He has predestined to be in our paths to help accomplish His will for us!

Acts 1:2, 8, 14, 24-25, “Until the day when he was taken up, after he had given commands through the Holy Spirit to the apostles whom he had chosen….But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth…All these with one accord were devoting themselves to prayer, together with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and his brothers…And they prayed and said, “You, Lord, who know the hearts of all, show which one of these two you have chosen to take the place in this ministry and apostleship from which Judas turned aside to go to his own place.”

Being a CHAMPION in life brings me back again to this verse that I leave you with today, Ephesians 2:10.

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”

Don’t wait. Start today.
