Do you ever feel forgotten?
I think at some point in life we can all feel this way! Left out, overlooked, passed over…maybe the word is invisible?
I find so much comfort in reading my Bible, turning to the book of Luke and reading the words of Jesus Himself in 12:6, “Are not 5 sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God.” Sometimes in life we allow our enemy, Satan, to throw a dark veil over our thoughts when we are in a difficult place and we allow our thoughts to become “fatal.” Our enemy loves to make us feel alone and like no one sees or no one cares.
Find comfort in knowing your/my Creator SEEs…and He cares. Today if you are at a place of feeling forgotten, turn to your Creator. HE not only sees…HE hears. Lean into Him.
I think of how Joseph must have felt. He was sold into slavery by his brothers (jealousy), falsely accused of attempted rape by Potiphar’s wife and then thrown in jail only to be forgotten by the friend he made in prison, the chief cupbearer. God had a plan for Joseph. It was not void of difficult circumstances and times of waiting. We are no different. We cannot allow our thoughts to become “fatal” nor allow our eyes to wander from Jesus.
We have to remember He sees and He has a plan. Our most important action is to seek Him, know and claim the promises in His Word. One of my favorites is Isaiah 41:10, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Joseph was never alone and neither are we;)
