The Power of the Holy Spirit

Who wouldn’t want to wear a cape and have a super power?

If you have invited Jesus into your heart and live a surrendered life to Him…there is a super power that comes to live in you. It has a name, The Holy Spirit! When Jesus died on the cross, He promised to send his Holy Spirit to live in the heart of all who invited Jesus into their life.

Acts 1:8, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you.” Read the whole account in the book of Acts.

In Ephesians 1:19 Paul writes, regarding the Holy Spirit in our lives, “And His incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength he [GOD] exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at the right hand in the heavenly realms.”

I can testify personally that sitting still by myself in the presence of God every day, reading His word, and worshiping Him intentionally brings my heart and mind to a “TUNING INTO” the Voice of the HOLY SPIRIT IN MY LIFE. He directs my thoughts, thus it directs my actions.

Of course many times it opposes my will and fleshly desires, which can be a daily battle. At times I fail (sin), but overall I WIN. I daily feel and see God show up and show out in my life, especially when I follow the leading that is impressed upon my heart after spending time with HIM. Many times as I follow Christ, and do things I feel He is leading me to do, especially when it requires me to “NOT LEAN ON MY OWN UNDERSTANDING,” I see Him clearly.

Encouragement for today…I desire for everyone to see what I see…feel what I feel…and experience what I experience and that is the POWER of the HOLY SPIRIT in your life. It is a simple formula…
inviting Jesus into your heart,
trusting that His Holy Spirit will enter your heart no matter where you are or what you have done…
and asking Him to show you, one step at a time, HIMSELF…HE will not disappoint.

Seek HIs Power and His love in your heart today. Best decision you will ever make!
