If you want to find extra peace and comfort today dwell on this scripture, Psalm 34:7, “The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, and He delivers them.”
I love Jesus and there is one thing for certain that I learn when I read and study the totality of God’s word, there will be trouble and trials in this world. It teaches in John 16:33, “I have told you these things, so that in ME you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But TAKE HEART! I have overcome the world.”
Jesus was talking to his disciples about his impending death and that He would send his Holy Spirit to comfort, guide and protect. Just think for those of us who have invited Jesus into our hearts, and are surrendered to him,(that is a part of fearing him…a reverence to a Holy God) we are not alone even in times of trouble.
I take great comfort in knowing I have a guide, the Holy Spirit and ministering angels. The thought of having “angels encamp” around me especially in times of trouble is such a comfort. Angels are unseen even though at times in my life, the most horrific times I could swear I have seen them, I know I have for sure felt them. In scripture some did see angels of the Lord, so I don’t doubt they can be seen.
The point of this post is to encourage you to read God’s word and believe it! Love Jesus with all your heart, soul and mind. I love the story found in Acts 5:19, “But during the night an angel of the Lord opened the doors of the jail and brought them out.” Yes..I serve and am surrendered to a God who will overshadow us individually with His love, HIs power, HIs wisdom, HIs peace and HIS angels!
